Good news from my niece today...

My niece informs me that she has finished her chemo, has recovered from her surgery, and begins her radiation next week (5 days/wk. for a month). Her latest PET scan results show her to be cancer-free! She feels good enough about her future to actually be getting married... Thanks to everyone for all the prayers and kind words, and here's to the hope that the "monster" won't come back, but that her hair will!

That's great news. Being a cancer survivor I know the feeling. Our thoughts will remain.

That's great news! From past posts about her, I think she's always looked toward the future. It's great when someone can have positive thoughts when faced with something like that. Congrats to her. I'm assuming she's still involved with other young women who have to deal with breast cancer?

Very much so... She's mentoring a couple gals on a daily basis, with "reinforcement" contact to others every week or so. She's a soldier...
