I personally don't need yet another intelligent device with 9 computers and a Blackberry. Well, OK. Maybe some woodworking tools that make the furniture without my help

My cell phone does not work at the new house. Cell coverage is generally less than adequate IMHO. I'm not a Neanderthal or a Luddite but I do likes my wired phones.

That is a neat idea. Basically a virtual machine for phones. I wondered when somebody was going to release something like this. So I could in theory download a version of OneApp for my Razr. My wife could download a different version for her Samsung. Alex could write a widget that ran on the OneApp platform and my wife and I could both use it with no changes.

Bill, as opposed to the texting they do now?

Guess I'm no longer part of the enthralled electronics generation. My cell phone makes calls, period. Averages 1-2 a month. And the only reason I even bothered to get one was because I haven't seen a public phone booth in ages.

That used to be my sentiments exactly. The main reason I use one is because LOML insists! Seriously, I get more calls on my cell phone from my girls in the States (2 to 4 a week) than I do from people over here. But I am being feed the cool-aid!

I will probably get an iPhone when I return to the States, as I do hate carrying around pockets full of items. Currently, I carry a iPod touch and a cell phone. I use the iPod as a mini computer and it has saved me more than once with Japanese kanji addresses, people's email addresses, names, documents, phone numbers, dates and meetings, etc . . plus music while I am traveling - and internet access to check the latest scores between meetings. I don't use it for email although I did at first; I don't care for twitter or facebook kinda stuff.

I can't wait until I can combine that with a phone.
