    Music Trivia.

This one kind of came to mind as a branch off of the 'music decades' pole.

With the advent and popularity of the CD in the 80's. What band formed in the 60's had an entire production line dedicated to one of their albums produced almost 20 years prior to it's CD release?

The Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon was my first thought.

As far as CCR and trivia goes, I love the story of John Fogerty getting sued by his old label (Fantasy) for plagiarizing one of his own songs. "The Old Man Down the Road" and "Run Through the Jungle". Fogerty won, but he wouldn't play CCR songs in concert for a long time.

Yup Pink Floyd 'Dark Side of the Moon' is the correct answer. Well over 45 million sold (total CD and pressed). Estimated that 1 in every 14 adults in the US under 50 has owned a copy also estimated that every 15 minutes a song from this album is played over the air on radio somewhere in the world.

It was a great album, but I don't really need to listen to it again because I have every note seared into my brain. :$ Along with Sgt. Pepper's and Led Zeppelin 4.

On the other hand, yesterday I heard the song "Sheep" for the 1st time in 25 years or so (someone borrowed my album and never returned it...) and thought, what a great song--it's been a long time.
