It's been a long road but I am starting to see the end of the shop reconstruction. I finished up repairing the wall sheathing tonight and it looks a whole heap better. Next week I will insulate and sheath the gable ends, prime and paint. If I am really lucky I will get the ceiling insulated. In another couple weeks I will start moving stuff in.

David,
This is no light at the end of the tunnel. You will always have potential upgrades to the shop.
My shop is a disaster at the moment. I have all of the extras off of the BT3100 (trying to sell it), everything moved around, etc because I just painted all of the walls except where the wood rack and 1.25 tons of pellets are stacked. I just aquired cabinets I need to clean up and hang up. I picked up 3 of them the other day and I think there are 7 more. The doors are gone but the cabinet shells are in good shape.Comment

I hate to be a party pooper, David. But there is no end. Only a temporary reprieve.
I know you can't wait for the fun to begin again.
EdDo you know about kickback? Ray has a good writeup here... https://www.sawdustzone.org/articles...mare-explained

Yeah but after next month there will only be stuff it would be nice to do, not that I HAVE to do. For example, I want to trim out the windows inside, not for any other reason than it will look nice. I also want to build a roof over the front entry. It will give me a covered area to work outside when I want to plus it will look nice. The great news is that once the shop is functional I can go out there at night while everyone is asleep. I've already started doing that the last few weeks and technically I've made my first shop project the shop itself. I used my BT to rip some replacement trim and rip the ply for the soffits.
I should have taken pictures of the pieces of the building all stacked up in my yard. I'm still kicking myself that I didn't. Anyway, in April looking at the stack in my yard, I wondered more than once what I'd gotten myself into and whether my wife would believe a fire started spontaneously.
