    Need Help - Who Is It???

    LOML and I caught a glimpse of an ex NFL player on a TV commercial, and it's bugging us, because we know who it is but can't remember his name. He has a crew cut and a large squared off jaw line. HELP!!!

              Dick Butkus used to do ads for heat pumps on TV: "this is Dick Butkus on the heat pump" as he literally sat on top of one.

              Michael Strahan did Sony PSP ads.

              Terry Tate did office ads for Reebok where he tackled folks. Though he was never a real NFL player.

              Fred Dryer used to do a TV show "Hunter" and is back doing ads now for SMS or something like that as well as being the spokesperson for a law firm.

                  A better description would be good. Also what era did he play in ie how old is he or how old does he look.

                      Dick Butkus comes to mind, though I have not seen him much lately. Howie Long would probably be more likely.
                      I think therefore I .....awwww where is that remote.

                          Thanks for all the help. Been busy today. Wife saw the ad again this morning and remembered Howie Long. Not that it matters, but was one of those things that you gotta solve just because it can get haunting.
