Bad decisions make good stories. -
I have seen similar ones to the gentleman's club/religious ones. Around Louisville is seems there is a trend for every self-righteous religious group to put up a billboard next to an advertisement for a gentleman's club or adult toy store. For a while in southern Indiana there was one church who had set up stakeouts next to one "Adult Superstore" (their words, not mine) and were taking pictures of everyone that went in there and posting it on their website.
I would say quite a few of those are not random chance. They would really get people talking and that is the best advertisement you can get."A fine beer may be judged with just one sip, but it is better to be thoroughly sure" -
Some billboards need a wake up call. It's that "seize the opportunity mentality".

Those are funny but...
I am not against free speech and advertising but I hate billboards. They are all eyesores that block out the scenery. Even if they're funny.Jeff

Until it closed a while back, there was a strip club just down the interstate from me that was across the parking lot from the Mens' Christian Fellowship. On rte 35 between Charleston WV and the Ohio border there is more than one club within a mile or so of a church. There is actually one right next door to a church.David

Well that would have been convenient, you could kill two birds with one stone.
Regular billboards don't really bother me, just part of the environment. The rotating ones, or worse yet, the new video billboards do bother me just due to the distraction factor (moreso for the drivers in the cars around me...).Comment
