Where is Ed62?

He hasn't posted in a month.

You're right. I just noticed that. Hope he's OK. The way I figger it one or more of the following has happened.

He's in a huge woodworking project and can't break away to post.

He wants more children and it's taking longer than he thought.

He climbed a tree to trim some branches and the ladder fell, he got stuck and nobody knows he is up there.

He caught a bad cold and doesn't want to give it to us.

Someone PM'd him and called him an old phart, and he got mad.

He took a trip and his Tom Tom went on the blink, and has him driving in circles.

He went to one of those "all you can eat" places and is gettin' his moneys' worth.

He found another forum where they are more friendly (I really doubt that).

He found another forum where they are more knowledgeable (I doubt that too).

Found a TV station that is showing nonstop all the I Love Lucy episodes.

Whatever the reason, I hope he is OK.

I think I know what you mean. I've been a member here, on and off, for 6 years. Back when I started, pretty much everybody here used a BT3x saw and the vast majority of the discussion was about woodworking, with the focus being on the BT3x saw.

I came back from one of my "off" periods and started actively following these forums again a few months ago, and noticed the following changes: a) Most of the regulars no longer use a BT3 saw. Not surprising, I guess, since they haven't been sold for a few years, and people have 'upgraded'. But kind of ironic nonetheless. b) The ratio of woodworking/other topics is much lower. Now I don't mind the "off-topic" posts and they're almost always in the correct forum. And I'm not even sure there's more of them than there used to be. It's just that there are less of the woodworking-related stuff around. Again, ironic at a woodworking site...

Again I'm not criticizing, just observing...
