4 out of 10, Never though of myself a genius to back to the shop. Never heard of some of the people in the questions.

Better than I expected... 9/10 (including one lucky guess)

I think Rod's right, though... More a test of who's well-read. I retain a lot of minutiae, although I can't for the life of me see how it helps much. (Gets me into trouble sometimes, in fact.)

Two meaningless observations:

1. One question deals with Hugh Everett III's Many-Worlds explanation of quantum mechanics. Hugh Everett was the father of Mark Everett, also known as E. He is a singer songwriter and the frontman for Eels. There is a very interesting documentary regarding his relationship with his father entitled "Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives."

2. If, when completing a genius quiz, you need the quiz to tell you that your 7 out of 10 correct means "your average correct: 70%", you may not be a genius.

2b. Actually, 7 out of 10 correct is an exact correct of 70%, not an average.

4 out of 10 correct, but I really object to the 'genius' banner.
If anything, it should say 'see who's most well read' quiz.

A genius is not someone who is well read or someone who is a good guesser. A genius is someone who can figure things out that other people have great difficulty figuring out.

Much like the term 'hero', it has gotten way out of hand in it's usage, IMHO.

7/10, but I had a couple of lucky guesses. I don't see where a perfect score would make one a genius, just well-read about trivia.

9 out of 10 here also. I knew 6, guessed on 2, and went against my better judgement on another & got it right. I agree with the better read comment. Most of this stuff is on the History Channel.

I thought Tesla studied in DC current & Edison was the one that studied in AC current although I picked Tesla & got it right.

8 of 10 with a couple of lucky guesses. Calling this a "Genius" test is stretching things. As has been said before, this is more a test of who's got the better flypaper memory.

8/10. Seems more of a history test than a genius test. I was expecting some kind of MENSA quiz.
