The One That Didn't Get Away

I know, I know, no pics... and it is a fish story to boot. My fishing up here consists of buying some flat head minnows and casting off the dock. It is cheap entertainment - I can get a scoop for a few bucks and they last most of the week. Last night I casted and tried to reel in and something jammed. I got it unjammed and started reeling in and realized I had a fish on. It turned out to be a nice 2lb bass that unfortunately swallowed the hook and died while I was getting it out. So no pic, but he was mighty tasty grilled up for dinner with some lemon, salt and pepper.

I'm inclined to give him the benefit of doubt on this one because he only claimed 2 lbs. I'd think if he was gonna lie he'd at least claim 5 lbs. it's kinda like I wouldn't steal $5 because I wouldn't want to be a cheap thief but I'd sure be tempted for $5,000,000,000.00

It's only 2 lbs because this is the first telling. Wait a few rounds.
