My FIL has a plastic slide - the kind that goes on playground equipment. Our first summer up here I helped him get it in the lake. His method was to bolt the top end to the dock and sink the bottom end with a concrete block. This meant it had to go into shallow water and half the slide was in the water. Plus it was a PITA to put in. The next summer I designed a ladder and stand that we built out of treated so now it goes at the end of the dock into deeper water and it ends about a foot above the water. A neighbor of my in-laws was admiring it today and wanted to hire me to make him one. He says it would be cheaper than buying one. I said no, although it was tempting to add funds to the tool kitty. It would be very easy work.

I think you mean you were offered a commission...I read "propositioned" entirely differently - Also a good thing, depending on your view point.
I was just offered one by my SIL for new childrens beds. My wife would have viewed it entirely differently if her sister had attempted to proposition me vs commission me. -
I, on the other hand, have been propositioned when I lived in my first apartment
in Philly. I didn't take her up on the offer.Comment

I know what I said. Just having a little fun.
2 weeks before my wedding several years ago I had to fly out to California on business. I did get propositioned while I was out there but turned her down.
