          One thing I noticed was the fact that the trailing RR cars (the ones left on the track) continued moving and ran up on the loco, while the loco stopped cold. I guess it could have been a partial derailment that caused the loco to stop so suddenly.

            I imagine they were probably in the process of slowing down anyway. Once the first cars blew off, it started slowing down even faster because there were both fewer cars to stop and they were all dragging on the ground.

              It says something to that effect in the 'more info' section. I think it's a national weather service report of the tornado and it's path.
