I think we should start with governors, then we could move down to the regular citizens...

I knew before I even read the article that it was going to be a Florida county. The Sheriffs in our counties always go on a spirited campaign to rid the world of hoes whenever re-election time draws near, then go back to ignoring it after their jobs are secure.

Blaming the drug problem on hookers is like blaming He11's Angels on tattoos. Many of the girls sell because they have a drug problem, but most don't have a drug problem because they sell. And people don't take up drug addiction because they've seen a hooker.

I fully support law enforcement, but it would be nice if some of the more serious crimes were given the requisite attention. After all, we are talking about the "world's oldest profession" here. I don't think that's gonna change anytime soon.

It is clever, but it really seems that they are overstepping their bounds mailing out letters like that.

A while back in this area there was a proposal to publish a "johns list" in the news paper, and I think there was talk of doing billboards. I don't remember if it ever came to pass.

They didn't do the billboards up here, but several LE agencies hereabouts do post a Johns List (complete with mug shots) on their websites.

How about doing this with vehicles that hang out at known drug selling points?

Prostitution may not be a victimless crime but drugs are claiming many more lives that the moment.

Disclaimer. My brother was an undercover cop at one point and so was my nephew. So I might be biased.

Guys, given the rules and nature of this forum, could you please stop trolling for political commentary?

They do that in St. Paul and maybe other cities up here for Johns & pros when they're arrested (not convicted).

I think I agree with our previous celebrity politician (not Franken, think Predator) on the prostitution topic. But regardless I absolutely disapprove of seizing assets, posting "shame" photos, etc. prior to a conviction/plea of some crime...

It's seen all the time on TV, some celebrity gets arrested and the picture is splashed all over. Arrest records are public records I think. Anyway, if anything is seized it could be returned if found "not guilty" or "acquitted". That sure would help to deter the crime...at least in my book.
