Haven't been around for a while, divorce is final!

Hi everyone. Long time no speak! Last fall I posted up and sold off a bunch of my woodworking stuff do to a divorce. The big "D" is final but I have come to the conclusion that woodworking is not going to be in the cards. I may be posting some other woodworking tools up for sale soon. I hope everyone here is doing well.

Upward and onward as they say!

Glad you're working your way through it, but hate the idea you're giving up on woodworking. Never say never...

Woodworking or not, hang around, Scotty.

Dick sold everything when he moved to a retirement home, thinking he would be out of a place to work. Before he knew it a garage was offered to him and another inmate. Set up a minimum shop for turning, then got married, moved out to a home they bought, and is now in the shop every day.

Never know what tomorrow will bring! Just keep your options open.

+1 to that. could never have given you a better example. just remember, when one door closes, at the very least another one, if not many more open.

sorry to hear with what you are going through, but hang in there.

I thought about selling all my tools after my divorce, but I decided against it.

My current girlfriend saw a picture of me with Norm Abrams I posted on an internet dating site and decided I was her kind of guy. Now 8 months later I'm making her a draper's cabinet to store all her quilting stuff and she's doing my landscaping for me.

Do what you have to do, but things will work out one way or another, hang in there!

Once the dark clouds clear, through inspiration or neccessity you will need to break out the tools, and do a home repair or build a little storage cabinet. Hang on to the tools if you can.
Good luck and stay in touch.
I think therefore I .....awwww where is that remote.

I have sold my machine tools twice (kept hand and small power tools) over 38 years for the same reason. The second time I did it I said I would never do it again. A few years latter I purchased another TS (the BT3000) just to do some home improvement around the house. That opened Pandora's Box... again.

At this point I have up-graded to about every major tool.. Industrial strength in large HP one could want and pump out a carcass piece on average of every two months. So... never say never as has been said as you might be surprised at how your interest cycle back around to where they started.

Good luck in your new role...
