When hammering, women nail it

I read through the article - it appears the researchers did not give them actual nails to nail - just a target on a metal plate to pound on. To me, they actually were measuring men vs women's ability to concentrate on a pointless task, not accuracy in nailing nails.

From personal experience, that study is bunk. Granted I have worked with a limited set of test subjects, but the women I've worked with in general were a lot less accurate at hitting a nail then the men. Plus I know my wife would do better on that test. Her personality is such that she would want to be perfect every time. Mine would just be to swing away. I'm not actually doing any real work so it doesn't matter how accurate I am. If I were actually building something I would most likely be more accurate than her.

I suspect the researchers were not using their own money to conduct this brilliant experiment. Someone, hopefully not us taxpayers, got rooked on this deal.
