    Some very nice pictures!

Is "Atl" Atlanta, GA? My brother just moved out there -- I'll have to mention this to him.

Yup. JAWJA. And not bad pics from a little Kodak 613 Digital camera, amazing closeups from a cheap($50 at Office Depot) camera.

        Great pics!

I have fond memories of the Atlanta botanical garden, right next to Piedmont Park. It's one of the better gardens I have been to.

There is a huge Chihuly piece hanging in the Gonda building at the Mayo Clinic, also a beautiful one at the entrance to the crusader castle in Jerusalem's Old City. Amazing artist.

Very very nice pictures. There is a Chihuly piece at the Indianapolis Children's Museum. It is 4 stories tall. The piece, not the museum. Well actually the museum is too.

Being a glass collector, I have mixed opinions on Chihuly. The work is definitely 'eye candy', but the production is only directed by Chihuly because he lost an eye many years ago. Not good to be slinging hot glass around without any peripheral vision on one side!.
If you want to see what he was making back when he was makinig it himself, google CHIHULY NAVAJO BLANKET CYLINDERS, or any work prior to 1979. By far, imho, some of the best glass work ever done.

Any further interest in glass, look up William Morris and Lino Tagliapietra to see the most fantastic stuff ever produced, again IMHO.

Nice pics Tommy. Strangely enough.. I live in metro Atlanta and used to live within a mile of the Gardens. I have passed the entrance probably 10,000 times but... I have never been inside the BG at all to this point. I suppose that should change soon but.. I hate to go inside the city anymore to the point I even order from Highland Hardware (now WW'ing) to avoid going inside the perimeter.

That's funny you say that. I used to live a mile from Highland Hardware--had no trouble at all driving downtown, but going *outside* the perimeter was he**!

The traffic in Atlanta has multiplied many times since then--don't miss that at all! (Or the heat/humidity this time of year...)
