Nuke your least favorite city. Simulation.

    Nuke it with google maps.
Now you too can find out just how far into the country you want
to live during a nuke strike. Scary.

Select your city by typing it into the box then use the slider
to select your weapons power and let er rip. 1 kiloton to large
    asteroid and plenty in between.

Try the asteroid impact. I did in my location and it would send a blast over almost half the country.

How come the fallout patterns change direction every time I nuke the same area?

Hmmm, if they aim for the Capitol I'm safe from everything but asteroid impact. If they shoot for Minneapolis instead then I need to watch out for Tsar bombs too. Of course I think the general cold war plan was saturation strikes, so then even with the little guys we're all pretty much in trouble.

Google: Shall we play a game?
Us: How about Global Thermonuclear War?
Google: Wouldn't you prefer a nice game of chess?
Us: Later. Right now lets play Global Thermonuclear War.

I think I've seen that somewhere before.

Seems the asteroid impact wipes out all, just as in the past. Wonder what would survive this time?

Misread this, and went looking for that caldera blowup (NOT SCO)

Saw all but the asteroid strike. I wonder if it goes through a variable list.

If an application such as this had been available during the height of the cold war I think people would have been far more frightened than they were. It kind of lets the gravity of the situation sink in as to just how much destruction we are actually capable of. Think of it like this with a 50 Megaton bomb a city with a population of 10 million plus (New York) and surrounding area would be completely vaporized.
