    Worst Movie Ever (rant)

My wife came home last night with a DVD to watch..."Revolutionary Road" with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. She wasn't too sure what it was about and the description didn't really reveal much about the extent of the "moving epic". I was looking forward to our evening entertainment until shortly after the movie began. It was disturbing, slow moving, immoral, aimless, pointless, boring, often uncomfortable, and ultimately very depressing because it never got better. What a waist of time! I'll admit to being a sucker for a happy ending, but if a movie is good, I welcome an unexpected curve ball. This one has got to be the (or one of the) worst movies I've ever sat through, and I'm disgusted that we waisted an evening on it....I kept thinking it would pick up! It was nominated for 3 Academy Awards...probably by the director's mother! I will say that the acting was good, the cinematography was good, and it didnt' come across as low budget, but the story was so lousy none of that mattered...I honestly enjoyed watching the animated kid's movie Aladdin earlier in the day much better than Rev Road.

Be forewarned and pick something else unless you need a good downer.

"Australia" - boring to the point of tedium. Cardboard characters, little if any plot, therefore little if any point. One big name a movie does not make!

There are a lot of really bad movies out there. I'd say the worst of all time are a tie between "Plan 9 from Outer Space" and "Rat Pfink a Boo Boo".

My recent vote for a really bad movie, which some friends of mine told me was one of their favorites of the year, was "Swordfish". In spite of grauitous boob shots...

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. How I got roped into watching that I'll never understand.

My wife and I saw it and though it was the biggest waste of two hours we could remember. Luckily, we saw it at a cheap seat theater so we were out only four bucks, not twelve.

When I was in high school some of the dating was to go to the drive-in. Well, not that I was guilty of this but the worst movie was usually picked.

Worst movie I have seen in the last 12 years or so was the 1996 remake of the William Shakespeare classic Romeo and Juliet. Had Leonardo DiCaprio and Clare Danes in it and it was HORRIBLE. About 20 minutes in me and the girl I went to see it with walked out. They updated the scenes to modern times and had guns instead of swords. Then left the dialog as you would read it in a book of Shakespeare's work. Utterly unwatchable.

When I first read it I was thinking "Reservation Road" with Joaquin Phoenix. Wrong movie, but even so I still agreed... The movie I was thinking of was about a man seeking the hit and run driver that killed his son - slow, dark. It could have been a good movie except for 2 things - I couldn't take Joaquin seriously as an grown responsible father and after about 1.5 hours it just ended abruptly.

                    Even worse than "Waterworld?"

You should have watched Amazon Women on the Moon instead.

                      Or maybe Buckaroo Bonzai.

The worst movie I've seen in a long time is Know1ng, with Nicholas Cage. I felt dumber afterward just for having watched it. Ugh.

This is the worst movie ever: Pootie Tang. My brother suckered me into watching it. No it is not a porno, although the title does sound like it.

Hey I liked Buckaroo, but then I liked Flesh Gordon. How could you not like the assteroid belt. But I might have been a little buzzed at the time.

The worst movie ever made does not even hold a candle to the best film by Uwe Boll. Look him up and learn the name of every movie he has directed so that you can aviod them as you would aviod dropping the soap in prison. If you do insist on seeing one of his films, keep a hypo of bleach nearby to wash out your eyes after. (Can I stress this enough that he is a really bad director?)
