I believe the calculation flawed, as no pizza is precisely "A" units thick.

But, I believe I have come up with a good approximation model that can more accurately be used to calculate the volume.

I call it the Paisan distribution.

Nope... Circumference is pi*D... Area (and therefore volume) begins with pi*R squared.

Around here you can get square pizza. Does the sauce and toppings going all the way to the edge make a difference in the result?
