Trying To See The Bright Side

of another semi-frustrating weekend. Trying to keep this as short as possible: blowout on one of the trailer tires. Two hours to locate replacements, get them mounted and get the tires on - I need it tomorrow. Framing nailer ran out of gas, all the cartridges I had were empty so had to go get some. T-storm this week wrecked the piston on the storm door. My wife used that as an excuse to get a new storm door that I have to put on. GFI in the basement tripped so now I have to fix the shed circuit. Again. Because of the blown tire I lost out on a steal for some sheet goods off CL.

On the plus side - the blowout was about 2 miles from home and trailer was empty as opposed to being loaded down with plywood and I didn't fall off the roof today. The storm door does need replacing. It is old and cheap.

At least the day is about over.

Sounds like tomorrow should be pretty good. You've only got one bad thing coming your way. If things come in groups of three, you just got hit with 1 2/3 groups.

I shudder every time my wife goes to the home improvement center to "pick something up."

I didn't fall off the roof today either, but I almost fell of the ladder. That said, no more roof work for a while. The roofing felt is on the roof and that will hold it for a bit until I get the porch up and can finish the roof.

Could be worse, could have happened again today.

My goodness you seem to be an accident waiting to happen lately. I recommend a day spent in the hammock in the back yard with a few cold beers as a cure.

Don't I wish. At least I don't have to be on a roof for a while again. Next weekend I will start putting trim back on and put the doors on. In a few weekends it should -really- start looking like a finished building.
