    Crokett -- Roofing Nailer

David, as I recall you were asking about a roofing nailer for a new roof on your new shop. Harbor Freight has this one on sale. Thought you might want to look at it if you pass a HF on your way home. Ehat's assuming everyone is not lobster red and in no mood for side trips.

Bill, over here on the big ocean

OOPS, that one is for shingles, here is the Roofing Nailer. I wonder if the shingle nailer would work on fencing?

Bill, thanks but I am going to go with hand nailing it. The roof isn't that big. I don't plan to ever do another roof and besides the nailer I'd have to spend another 30 bucks or so on nails for it and wouldn't use most of the nails. I may still look in a pawnshop next week and see what the prices are there.

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.

You might want to check with a BORG that rents tools. According to the list I got when I rented a chainsaw, they rent coil roofing nailers for $21 for 4 hours or $30 for a day. I don't know whether that includes any nails or not, but it might be worth asking. Roofing is not a fun job under the best of conditions.
