Lets hope they catch whoever it is soon. People who do that to animals often escalate to people.

Most places will only give someone a slap on the wrist for animal cruelty. Up here, I think the max penalty is something silly like $2000 fine or in the real extreme a six month jail term in a prison that's only a few levels down from a Howard Johnsons.

This is the work of a sick person. Anyone this disturbed should be put away for his own good, and the good of society.

We had a similar story out here some years ago, in Westlake Village. Gutted and mutilated cats were found in yards and road center dividers. After much investigation, it turned out to be Coyotes.
