I've used and liked Techsmith's Snagit and Camtasia studio.

      Vidio Capture

I use Mozilla Firefox and they offer a free utility called download helper that will capture streaming video and convert it to .wmv files.

I've used Total Recorder for sound and am pleased with it. It is very inexpensive and they do have a version that will handle video that is not too expensive also, but I have never tried it, but you can also demo the program before you buy it.

We use Camtasia at work too -- people seem pretty happy with it.

I don't know it if captures internet video specifically, but it might be worth checking into.

I use Any Video Converter. It's pretty simple and the price is right.
