    There Goes The Tool Budget

LOML took her two week vacation and went to Italy for 10 days and England for 4 days. She got some free points from her brother who joined her, for the flight and a hotel. I thought it was cool...she gets a vacation, and maybe I get some tools.

She didn't want to do laundry, so she bought enough new clothes for the entire trip. Well, the bad news, is that her luggage was lost. It may not have made it from her Miami flight to La Guardia, or, it didn't make it from New York to Madrid, or, it didn't make it from Madrid to Rome.

Well, we talked, and I just told her to buy whatever she needs to have a good time. I'm guessing that the luggage will be found right after she replaces the clothes.

    As they say...Questa la vita.

C-Man, it was probably in LaGuardia, if your not the first flight out of there, something usually goes wrong! DAMHIKT

Usually when I plan on buying a tool, something comes up that takes the money instead.

Sorry to hear that Cabman. I hope the airline will reimburse her for at least part of her luggage if they can't find it.

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.

I'll bet they don't even offer to return the $25 they probably charged her to check her bags.

              BIG mistake.

I'd rather do laundry than wait on luggage, especially for a 14 day trip. My wife, on the other hand, can't do without enough luggage for three people.

I've had luggage lost maybe twice in 25 years of often heavy air travel. After my luggage missed a connection in Denver and I had to show up for a business appointment in Colorado Springs in jeans, I refused to check bags on business trips. Now that business casual is the norm, it's easy to get by with just a small roll aboard bag.

You sure she didn't pitch the bags when she saw all the new fashions in the shops in Rome?

I can just hear a compliment on her new clothes when she gets back home.
