That's amazing. I actually got a touch of motion sickness whilst watching the earth spinning below. I'll take dramamine and watch it again.
The last bit when the SRB is close to the water, is much like the effect when you are using a parachute. We were instructed to look at the horizon to judge our speed. One has a tendency to pull one's legs up when the ground appears to rush up to meet you. Nasty injury then. Perhaps that's where the expression, "busted your a***" came from.
