Yep, the economy is still contracting.
Given the size of the U.S. and global economies, there may be a second leg to rapid contraction coming. I think many have assumed that there would be simple curve to this recession (guess we're near calling it a depression now). It may be a "W" or even a "WV."
I think an awful lot hinges on the next few weeks/months. If CEO's lose confidence in an uptick for later this year/very early next, then the next rounds of layoffs will be very unpleasant. -
If nothing's getting built, there won't be a need for raw materials. Everybody is hurting...Comment
