    Cool Picture!

I just wish I hadn't provided the subject! Couple of weeks ago, we had a fly-in at the club field for scale models. This was when I destroyed my little Airwolf. After the event, I flew the big gasser. Coming out of a turn, the engine failed (I think I had the fuel mixture set too lean). I totaly froze and botched the auto attempt. The club photographer got the attached picture. This is actually the "first bonce".

I was quite surprised to find the damage was very light. The bottom plate was bent and the mixing arms broke. Talking with the factory reps, the arms did what they were designed to do so damage was localized to the arm and not the servos. Bad as it looked, repair cost is under $30.

Very cool photo. At least it was a model.

Parts prices on the real things will make you gasp, assuming you don't faint first.
