    Chattanooga Woodcraft Now Open

For those living in Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia, the new Chattanooga Woodcraft opened this morning. Glad to see that we have finally gotten a store here that is devoted to woodworkers. I went by this morning and was impressed with their displays, especially their wood. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

It is located at the corner of Jenkins Road and East Brainerd Road. Off I-75 take the East Brainerd East exit and go about two or three miles until you see a Bruster's on your left and Woodcraft is in the same shopping center.

Those of you who have shopped at Woodcraft before, do they ever offer specials at their retail stores? I see specials on their internet site and wonder if they offer them in their B&M stores.

Yea, they do offer specials at the Fort Worth store. It's usually the same specials that are on the website. I don't know if they offer other items on special though, never really paid attention. Be sure to sign up for their monthly flyer. The flyer will list all the local classes & events too.

Along with all the monthly, and other sales promotions I get sent a Happy Birthday card (10% off a store purchase).

Cool! If they had had that when I lived there (1961-1979) I wouldn't have gotten into some of the bad habits I did get into.

I might have gotten other habits like T.A.S., W.A.S., etc...

        Jeff,
I can't believe that a fine, upstanding doc like yourself could have ever entertained bad habits. Hope you get to visit the Woodcraft store the next time you "come home" to visit your Mom and Sis. It's only about a mile from Hamilton Place.

Well, the place where the Harbor Freight is located was once a favorite movie theater where we saw Tommy, Jaws, Return of the Pink Panther, Star Wars, etc.

In fact the clamp section was just about where I stole my first kiss...

I go back a few years earlier than you. I saw Butch Cassidy (among others) there. Not sure where I stole my first kiss but I think it may have been in Automotive.
