My daughter's dance recital was this morning and we took her out to lunch after and let her pick. She picked Arby's. We went in to order. They were out of chocolate milk and out of salads so my wife didn't get lunch. They didn't tell us there was no chocolate milk until after we'd paid for it. I asked for the money back and the manager grumbled about giving me back my 1.39. Interestingly enough they made a point of telling me if I answered a a survey online I get a free sandwich.

I realize the people there don't get paid much, and in the end it was my wife's choice to not eat anything, but still.

Not sure, but I think Arby's is on life support. They have closed several restaurants in my area, and I have noticed that the ones that remain open are almost deserted when I have visited.

My family went to an Arby's in Niagara Falls a few weeks ago. I was so unimpressed that I emailed the corperate office when we got home. Yet another one in Welland will bend over backwards for the customer.

You should march right back to Arby's, walk up to the counter, stomp you feet a few times and demand to know why their cow quit giving chocolate milk. This sounds like something that would be right up PETA's alley, maybe you should call them too. Out of chocolate milk.............the inhumanity of it all!!

When I filled out the survey online there was an option to have somebody contact me. I picked that option and if it doesn't happen in a few days I will call the corporate office.

At least chocolate milk and salads are secondary items, I went into an Arby's at ~5:30PM a couple years ago and they were out of roast beef for the day. If Arby's doesn't have roast beef then they may as well turn off the lights (3 other people walked in and out at the same time I did).

A few months ago I went through the Burger King drive thru at 9:30pm. I ordered a double cheeseburger but when I got to the window they told me they were out of cheese. There was a Safeway supermarket less than a block away. Apparently nobody that worked there thought of walking across the street to buy some more cheese.

I may be mistaken, Rand, but I believe that might be a violation of their franchise agreement which probably states that the restaurant *must* buy all of their supplies from the franchiser and breeching that contract could cause forfeiture.

We went to McDonalds last week for Lunch and they had run out of Cheese.
It's noon on a Friday.. I'd hate to be that manager rolling into a weekend low on supplies.

My brother used to work at Arby's. In order to expidite orders they would always have a few roast beef sandwhiches ready to go. Aparantly the guy who made the sandwiches (who they referred to as the "Roast Beef Nazi) would get pissed off if anyone would order more than the two that were ready to go. My brother would put in an order for roast beef through the too cool microphone, and customers were treated to a "**** it, I just had two ready to go! What happened to the the other two?" My brother would politely reply into the microphone "we sold them, we need you to make more."

I don't think the Roast Beef Nazi ever made much of his career at Arby's

Makes me laugh though.
