    New Lee Valley in Victoria

I was there for day one of the new store. What a zoo. That's the only time I've ever gone to a Lee Valley store without buying anything. It's a nice setup they've got there though. Nicer than the old Vancouver store and great to have it nearby.

Zoo is right; I was there about 9:00am and the place was packed.
There was a long table down the middle with 'samples' at great prices if the item was something you could use. Once in a while a clerk would bring another bin of items to put on the table. Then it was like the feeding frenzy at the fish tank
I did pick up a couple of things and eventually got through the checkout and escaped.
But it was fun to be there on opening day.

Tonight is the monthly meeting of the Vancouver Island Woodworkers Guild, and we've been invited to have the meeting at the store with a presentation by Rob Lee. Looking forward to it.

The store opening yesterday was also my birthday. LOML said: "That birthday present is going to cost you a lot of money!" She's right.

..but have you been to the new(er) Vancouver store on Marine....or the one in Coquitlam??
Eitherway, if you go in to browse, you're bound to buy something...!!

I was there around 11 I guess. They were serving number 150 and when I looked at the number dispenser it was at 329. Yes, feeding frenzy is a good description. I saw Rob Lee in the middle of the store talking to someone. Nice to see he still appears to care about the masses. I'll go back in a few days when there are fewer people in the there and buy something - although my wife's birthday is in a few days which is bad timing on her part.

Did they renovate the Vancouver Marine Drive store?

That used to be Victoria's Secret. Now the cat's out of the bag.
