    The Splinter Wooden supercar

The Splinter is a 200 mph car made of molded wood & powered by a 700 HP Cadillac engine. It was designed & built by Joe Harmon as his graduate school project at NC State University. He also designed & built the machines required to craft the components. To learn more go to www.joeharmondesign.com.

That is really some project. More like an incredible undertaking and impressive as all heck. I wonder if it floats.

It was featured in Wood Magazine last year. His shop is somewhere around here - about 20 minutes away from me.
