I,m not sure where you live but here in Atl. I get basic DSL from Bellsouth w/basic phone no long distance for $34.00 a mo.We have cable from Comcast for another $32.00 w/Starz for a year free. $66.00 a mo. ain,t bad but I still think its to much. For long distance which is rarely ever used we purchased a sprint card at Target for $15.00 for 400 minutes and have had it for abut 7 mos and still have 300 minutes of use on it.

Thanks again for all the suggestions everyone.
Made more calls...no Comcast here either.
Seriously considering antennae only or Direct TV for $30/mth, and Earthlink broadband internet for $30/mth...unsure what to do about phone, but that's really less of a concern right now.
Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

We just dumped DirecTV. Service was great, but monthly bill seemed to be ever increasing. Went with HDTV over the air exclusively. I am ging to be missing some NASCAR and (sniff) F1 races, but most other shows that we don't get now are available either for download or will eventually come on DVD.Comment
