          The way they upgrade those Japanese cars going that fast is easy. The guy could likely go to court and plead his case that his little old 4 cylinder car couldn't possibly go that fast, and make a case that the cop's radar was faulty. Radar detectors either detect radar, or they don't.

              Radar detectors are illegal up here in Ontario. I'm not sure of the fine but I know you lose your detector on the spot. Now the police even have radar detector-detectors!

              So if you decide to drive through Ontario, turn off your detector and put it in the trunk.
