    Anyone Watching the Tour?

The Amgen Tour of California just rolled through my neck of the woods. Looks like team Columbia Highroad (local team) is in first place. Leipheimer is making a strong showing as usual. Armstrong is sitting 4th and Landis 38th.

Mark Cavendish of Columbia-High Road is the shizzle. Definitely the fastest finisher in the game.

I think I'm going to be in Solvang tomorrow for the time trial.

It looks like Astana has things under control for the overall. Five guys in the top 10, including Leipheimer, Armstrong, and Chris Horner. The seem to be able to control things as they wish.

I live in Sacramento and my 2 son's are former cyclist and were involved in racing from about 1986 and into the early 90's I was involved with the old Coor's Classic as I assembled the CHP communication vehicle use in the classic and helped the kids cycling team being course marshalls during the classic. I was at the prologue Saturday and my youngest son who is off on disabilty from work and I watched the stages from Davis to Santa Rosa, and the one from San Jose to Modesto in person. They used parts of the old Coors route and some the roads the kids raced on. I am glad we have race back in California and it nice to see the turn out. Glad they found Lance's bike they will find the other 2 also. Nice to have Verses televising it live in the afternoon and Phil Ligget and Paul Sherwin and Bob Role doing the broadcast. Lance is in position to pounce if something happens to Levi. Think he will be ready the Le Tour in July.
