    Windows macro recorder program?

I have some Windows tasks I want to automate. The steps to complete the
final task span several different Windows based programs. Some of the steps
require logging into a web page. Perfect for a macro, right?

I know there are macro recording programs but haven't used any of them. Any
    suggestions?

    Thanks, Paul

    Hi

I'm interested also. I used a great program called Smartkey for years - but it doesn't work with Windows.

http://www.autohotkey.com/ is a favorite of many of the users of my software. Plus it's free.

Try AutoIT!!!! I have used it quite a bit, and you can automate anything. Need to do a right click at a specific point, then move the mouse to another point and let go? It can do it. But one word of advice: If you can use key-ins, do so. They are most reliable. And what makes it even better? It is free!!

The ones mentioned are good (and free ). AutoIT in particular I've used alot and it's powerful though some of the more complex activities can be a bit of effort to setup.

A nice comercial app is Macro Express. I think it may be a bit easier to setup moderately complex macros, but if you only need one person to use the system (you) and don't mind taking the time I think one of the freebies would work for you.

Another nice application, one that I have been using since years and is Workspace Macro Pro. I have to say user friendly and almost no learning curve required.

The same company also has a basic application called Workspace Macro.
