    Been one of those days...

Found out today that the site plans I've been working from for a week for my job are the wrong ones... Client's fault, but still wasted a week... Then I brought home a rat for my snake, only to have it get loose in my garage, and when I chased it under the car, the little beggar bit the #@&*! out of me... Then went to the lathe to relax, only to blow out a beautiful x-cut macassar ebony pen blank that I had been nursing down for an hour...

Think I'll go to bed now...

Can you blame him. I think I would do the same if I had an idea where I was going.

Usually, they go quietly... This one made me work. End result was the same, though (after the bleedin' stopped ).

Okay Uncle C, head on over to my office

so I can start the belly shots for rabies; we may need to amp that digit too. Then after I give ya my bill for $3,834.78 and you pay, you can go home and then go to bed!

I think your day is catching. Started with an important load coming in( line was shut down and waiting for the material) only to find that a contractor parked in a no parking zone and I couldn't find the contractor, and couldn't unload the truck. Finally get vehicles moved only to find pipe were frozen and I couldn't unload the truck. Finally, everything is unloaded and ready to go when some one loses a tape measure in a 600 gal prep tank( full of a tar blend) and had to fish it out so it didn't break the pump.

They still frown on scotch during working hours.

Today was a little better... Turned some Delrin pen bushings. Figured I'd do that before I tackled another piece of ebony. No rat riots today... Only gotta feed her every 5 days or so (when I can't stand the pitiful begging any longer).

I started to feel sorry for you, but I guess you don't need it now.

It is going around. Earlier today our new dog was playing with something noisy in the upstairs hallway, which is certainly not uncommon. She plays fetch with herself all the time by throwing stuff on her own and then going to catch it and when she does it with a rawhide the wooden floors make a **** of a racket. Then whatever it was goes tumbling down the stairs. Wooden stairs. MASSIVE racket. About a half hour later I need to make a call and look all around for my Blackberry. Nowhere to be found in my office and then I hear an email come in and my phone in on the ground level. "Hmmmm, must have left it in the kitchen when I grabbed a glass of water earlier." Nope. Blackberry, sans one key and with a few more teeth marks that I remember leaving on it, at the bottom of the steps.

No need to get mad. She is 5 months old and it is my fault for leaving it out where she could get to it and at this point scolding her would do no good whatsoever. A little later I go into the bedroom and notice a ton of stuffing everywhere. Not uncommon. They both tear up their stuffed toys all the time so I make a mental note to grab the ShopVac next time I go to the basement. Then I notice that there is a LOT of it!! No way this could be a small stuffed toy with a squeaker. It wasn't. It was 3/4 of a pillow. And to top it off, it is LOML's pillow. We are both going to be in trouble when SHE gets home!!

I go run to the store since it is our other dogs birthday today (one year old!) and I wanted to make him a doggie dinner (beef liver, eggs over easy and rice) and on the way back my truck starts making a noise suspiciously like it did when the rear differential went out, only this time it is coming from the front. I seriously hope it is a u-joint going out or something. I really don't want to spend $700 on another diff.........

On a brighter note, I bottled about 200 bottles of wine today and tonight I bottle my first batch of beer!!

It would probably be a good idea to drink some of both...
