Okay Supergenius EE's and Wireless guys

Here is a riddle for anyone to take part in

In the picture below, there are 2 antenna ports,

The PCB is the backside of the main PCB for the new HTC Touch Pro ( I have one and it rocks)

no one so far has been able to tell me what type of antenna connectors these are, Wilson Electronics has even go so far as to say stop pestering them

maxmost.com doesn't return my emails for help...

maybe one of your guys can help me figure this out, and maybe even find a phnone from another manufacturer that uses this same external antenna port for their phones...

The port in question is directly below the bottom contact for the main speaker.

I am about to spend some "Quality" time in the mountains of NC, where I will get signal sortof, and I have a 10db gain antenna, but no way to make the connection

    HELP

That looks like a mini-SMB connector - hard to tell without scale, but you might look into them. More likely it's a custom-sized jobber that would be very difficult to find commercially.

Can you get a closeup of the antenna connection? It looks vaguely like the connector on my satellite radio for the antenna.

97% chance it is a proprietary connector like the ones used on handheld XM radios and some portable GPS units. If the pins, especially the center pin, of the connector on the card goes through so you can solder small coax to the board directly you can do that and run it to your antenna directly or put a standard connector on the coax a few inches from the board. If you need more specific instructions PM me.

Check this link out it looks similar.

According to the site it's a UFL Hirose connector, usually used for testing on board by the manufacturer.

Look around for site talking about adding external antennas to a DWL-650 wireless card. I've pigtailed one before and there's a lot of info out there.
