    Any chainsaws in Phoenix?

Wasnt sure where best to post this request but here goes....

During one of our more aggressive summer storms one of my trees was uprooted. I managed to get rid of all the main limbs to either trash or fire wood. I am left with the main trunk that is still attached at the root base. Its about 6' by 18" and am intending on resawing it but I dont have anything to cut it at the base. I tried my recipricating saw but its not really up to the job.

10 mins with a chainsaw should do the trick but I dont own one. Is there anybody here in Phoenix who has one who would care to come on over and help me out. Happy to offer beer or other inducements

I am nr Tatum/Shea so if any of you locals could help out I would love to hear from you.

    Thanks
    Jon

If you can't find anyone nearby, there's always a tool rental place that would have one.

Have seen similar requests to borrow a tool on Craigs List. Try that for someone local.
      Good luck

I don't have a chainsaw, but if you send me an airline ticket to Phoenix I'll find one . It doesn't even need to be round trip. Once June hits, I'll just walk back...

If you rent remember to check the chain for sharpness and pick the sharpest one they have. Then, *you* start the thing up. If they say that they don't have any fuel mixed move on to the next place. It sure would be nice if you could find someone to do this for you, though. You wouldn't have left-over gas+oil to deal with. I guess I'm leaning more toward the Craiglist thing but it too has it's downside, like liability insurance so that you don't get sued if a finger gets lopped off!
