when kids talk, what is inappropriate?
my 9 year old tells me the other day - dad, you need to shave the hair off your chest and back; hairy does not look good...
!
I was somewhat amused but did not know what to respond; LOML otoh ticked her off - that's inappropriate talk for you, young lady...
I've always allowed them to comment on my bald spot, or my (lack of) dress sense, more in a sense of discussion; of course there was this time she was seeing a weight-loss advt and proclaimed loudly - mom needs that desperately
, and i had to show disapproval. Inconsistent - sure; but there's frank and there's rude. not sure if I can define it for them.

. I keep trying to tell her to ignore these "mean" kids because if she shows that the comments bother her then they will take pleasure in teasing her more.
