Thanks for all the replies and advice. Went to my doctor this morning and then to the x-ray shop. As the day has progressed I am having a lot of stiffness in my neck and back and my right arm is cold and numb. I doubt that I have any serious problems but I am hoping that this isn't going to be a long term thing. Guess I'll find out what the x-rays reveal in a day or two.

This is really gonna screw up my building at the new home, that's the worst part. That's life I suppose.

Thanks again for all the comments. Gonna make sure they check out the transmission too. I did't think about that. I am sure as heck impressed with the F-250. I would hate to think what would have happened if I had been in a passenger car.

I'm glad to see you well enough to tell us the tale at least. I'll repeat what the other have said. Get looked over. LOML got rear ended 13 years ago and even though she was released from the hospital that night, she really felt the impact the next day. She is only feeling better these last few years.

BTW: I can always remember when she got hit, she was seven months pregnant with our second daughter at the time.

Machinery (your truck) can be replaced. Hopefully, you won't have problems worse than being sore for a few days. Then you can have something to be thankful for, from the looks of your truck.

Man that sucks.. One thing is to check out the body shop doing the work before turning the truck over..

I got rear ended in my then new Nissan Quest and took it to the "Insurance approved" repair shop.. They took 6 weeks to repair it. missed several items that needed to be replaced, improperly installed the rear lift motor, wiper, rear winds and go knows what else. Then a year later the clear coat started coming off on the quarters. they claim they never painted the quarters but I found masking tape left under the trim. They tried to say it must have been repaired at the dealer BEFORE I bought it new and refused to repaint it.

I called the Insurance company and found out they pulled the shops preferred status shortly after they did my van and paid another shop to repaint the van. That job took weeks longer than it should have because they kept finding things the other shop messed up or missed. That paint is holding up fine but the van has never been the same..

You might also talk to the Insuance co about compensation for diminished value since now it'll always show on Carfax that it's been repaired. They get squeaky when you bring it up and try to weasel around it but it is a valid claim.

I'm glad you weren't more seriously injured. I had the same thing happen to me in my pickup about 6 years ago (bounced my head off the back window pretty good, too), and nothing showed up on the x-rays - doctor said I had soft tissue damage. I hope things go better for you, since I had an extremely sore/stiff neck for quite a while (couple months), and I still have neck problems today, despite the exercises he prescribed, and seeing a chiropractor to boot.
