LOML and I went to Lowe's to buy some faux wood blinds. We need enough for 8 windows. We looked at the display models, but there were no prices to be seen. I asked one guy if he worked in that department. He told me he didn't, but he would get someone to help us. He called someone on the phone. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to show up, we left. I said if they don't want our business, they're not the only kid on the block.
When we left, I began to think about all the cutbacks everyone is seeing in stores. Sure, they have to keep labor and other costs down to survive today, but at the expense of losing customers? We were ready to buy. Seems like a catch 22 for them.
