    A new neighbor?

Mama moose moved in last night. Mama moose doesn't seem to mind having the grandkids look her over.

Grandkids have been here for about two weeks. They are visiting from Africa, where Dad works for an oil company.

Its 17 below and still falling.

Happy New Years everyone. Regards, Steve

Aww, -17 just helps build character, it's good for the kids and the neighborhood. How many gangbangers do you see hanging out on a corner when it's pushing 20 below?

It's nice to have wildlife nearby, that's quite a picture.

Today we have to drive a couple hours to see moose in the wild, but who knows if that will last as it seems our moose are dropping like flies down here...

    Kristofor.

A good friend of mine live in Post Falls Idaho and he has the same thing happen, Deer, Elk, Moose all like his front yard. He has sent me many pictures during the winters where there animals hanging out in his and his neighbors yards. They were feeding them until Fish and Game asked them not too. The have an area set aside for that activity. He said the first time it happened he almost had a heart attack when he went out to get the morning paper.

That would be a nice neighbour to have. All summer the neighbour kid and his buddies spent every day working on thier bikes. I called them the Brady Bunch.

I wouldn't mind that at all. I would land up feeding it...

It's sad then when you go hunting and you wind up empty handed only to come home and have it show up in your front yard as soon as hunting season ends.

That doesn't even bother me any more. I spend more time feeding the wildlife than hunting it.

Great picture. I live on main street in a small town. I had 6 deer in my back yard last week. My wife couldn't find her camera.

Pssst! Hey Steve! You know you are in Alaska, right?

You have some cute grandkids there. How long have they been in Africa? Have they ever even seen snow?
