How's Your Weather?

Was 37 this AM, now down to 14 with freezing rain and 1-3 inches of white stuff epected overnight with a low of -6 and a high tomorrow of -3. HIGH of -3?? Sheesh!

It got up to 77 today. I put some shorts on and mowed the lawn. It was mainly to mulch up the leaves, the grass isn't growing all that much.

I got up, put on the insulated coveralls, and ran the snow blower for an hour.
Right now, it's -8 in N Colorado.

We had a high of 71 today! Problem is, it is now 13. We had high winds with gusts to 50 mph, and now with the cold we have about 1/4" of sleet on the ground, with snow coming, and then ice on top of it. A 58 degree drop in temp is kind of hard to take.

We are still dealing with the worst ice storm I have ever seen (and I've seen a few).We were without power since thurs nite/friday morning and just got it back sunday morning. We had a lot of large limbs to clean up but luckily no serious damage. I still have a large tree that is close to my house that is split that I'm sure I'll pay dearly to have removed.
Today it is supposed to be in the 40's with rain. There are still many thousands without power and they may not be restored until the end of the week so I guess I'm lucky.

Well over here over a hundred miles away from Whaler and Hoover and we got maybe an inch of snow and then saturday it turned very windy. And as of 4:16 AM as I am sitting here typing this it looked like it was either snowing again or had snowed a little bit, I had to let the dogs out

53 and raining right now. The cold front will pass in a few hours and they're saying the temperature will drop 25 degrees in an hour.

Then it's going to switch to freezing rail and keep that up for 24 hours. They're forecasting 1/4" of ice. Last big ice storm we had was in 2003 when we got 1" of ice and we were out of power for a week. Tested my generator this year and I'm ready as I can be.

Sequim is at 48.0 N Lat 123.1 W Lon and is considered the banana belt of western WA. This is what we woke up to this morning.

I lived in Suquamish (before the casino) for a few years while stationed on a Trident Sub out of Bangor. Absolutely the most beautiful place I have ever lived (and I have lived in some nice places!)

Most folks don't realize how little snow you get in Western Washington. I know I was surprised at how bad of drivers you are when you do get some snow!


In West Michigan this morning it is about 18 F, windy with light snow.

I'm in Florida until this afternoon. Partly cloudy and warm. We go back to the San Francisco area tonight, where it is now raining and the high is supposed to be 46. Tomorrow I fly back to Austin fo a three day business trip.

I'm sure construction on our new house at Lake Tahoe has ground to a halt. They're expecting about two feet of new snow over the next 48 hours with temps staying below freezing.

I just wanna curl up by the fire right now.

We had mid 40s yesterday morning in central Iowa. By the time we left church, It had dropped to about 15 degrees & windy. This morning was -2 degrees. I didn't even bother to check on the wind chill.

Ours was pretty much like Bill's. We were around 50 yesterday, with rain early last night. This morning it was in the single digits when we got out of bed. Not fun to drive on.
