    A Pleasant Surprise

Several months ago I posted about somebody sending me a letter regardiing HUD giving refunds on mortgage insurance when your loan was paid off. Smelling a scam I researched it and it is a valid program. You get the form from HUD, provide proof of identity and proof that the loan was paid off then send it in. I got the paperwork for my wife's loan and sent it in 2 weeks ago. I expected to not hear anything back till February. We got the check in the mail yesterday.

Always a good feeling to get something back when you weren't expecting it. Don't spend it all at once!!

Sorry Ed. Since the money wasn't in the budget till February, it goes into the savings account to give us a jumpstart on paying for the bedroom renovations next spring.
