Have We Sunk This Low?

A parent in Wilmington NC complained about the song "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" being included in a 'holiday', nay Christmas play. The parent thought that having the words 'Christmas' and 'Santa' in the song carried religious overtones. The school board decided that neither Santa nor Rudolph were religious figures. I'd bet if you asked the kids (including the child of the offended parent) they'd wonder what all the fuss was about and they would just want to perform the play they worked hard on.

I didn't think it was religious. Santa is to Christmas as the Easter Bunny is to Easter. Neither is religious. That being said, I can lock threads, so this thread is locked.
