Ryobi 21-Inch Sander Model BE321VS Available!

Folks,

I may have been the only person who lamented the termination of the 21" belt sander's availability at HD. In which case, read no further.

Howsomever, I have had multiple (and I DO mean multiple) contacts with my favorite power tool company at various levels and over the past year and a half.

I repeatedly expressed my puzzlement that, while the item remains on their online catalogue, it is unavailable from any HD in the western U.S.

Finally, I got this reply:

I apologize for the inconvenience. I double checked on the BE321VS and there are plenty in stock that the service desk associate at Home Depot can order. If you go to the store and they say they can not order, please call customer service at 1-800-323-4615 and someone there can speak to Home Depot.
But I promise they can get that tool for you if they will just order it.

So, it seems, for those of us who miss the thing, it IS possible to get our hands on it.

I have mine so I was not watching very closely stock at HD but I am happy to hear it is available. It's a nice sander with good dust collection at a good price (last I saw it was $99). It's a 3x21 with variable speed and it is flat on the top so you can put it on a bench and use it a bit like a stationary sander.
