I am not a Hip-Hop aka Rap fan. No opera thank you very much. Top 40 junk you can keep it. Most new music these days seems formulaic. Even good ol rock n' roll seems to be somewhat strung out these days. Where is the creativity? Has it been crushed by the mega corporate music business entities?

More and more I find my self going back the 70's, 80's and 90's rock music on iTunes and finding an artist I did not really listen to back then and now to me it seems like a new discovery. Just recently I rediscovered Neil Young. Back then I did not care much for his music. Aside from his big hits there are some absolute gems tucked away in his catalog that did not get much air play back when they came out.

Oh and I do consider grunge to be a subset of Rock n' Roll just a little louder and grittier with a little bit of angst thrown in. Grunge is not like punk. Punk was obnoxious and in your face. Hey hey my my.
