    She Speaks With Wisdom

My youngest recently turned thirteen. She has also started a "relationship" with her first fellow. Her friends tried to tease her by saying that her dad needs to get a gun. Daughter number two calmly replied," Naw, my dad's got power tools".
From the "deep south" part of Canada

Cleaning guns at the table with a bunch of friends/son's, etc. is one way (the day before deer season, when my brother picked up what became his wife).

    Or just:

    Preface
Now when I was a kid, I was dragged to a flea market. Most of it was junk, to a kid, and I wasn't into tools yet, but there was one booth that had all kinds of stuff, including chinese stars, swords, knives, etc.

YEARS later, I learned whose booth that was, and how he disposed of bodies. Bob Berdella, the serial killer.

Remind those boys, that it took years for people to know what some people put out in their trash.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

The thought of being decapitated by a power tool is much scarier than being shot. You've got a smart kid there.

Odd turn of phrase there - was that intentional?

The chief cause of failure in this life is giving up what you want most for what you want at the moment.

Left out the word later. I guess more of a Freudian slip, if you knew how we tended to get along.
