    recommend room humidifier please!

for about one month each year in our S. California, it is rather dry, during night my wife is bothered by dry eyes and I have mild nasal stuffiness due to dryness. Is there a quiet, minimal maintainance (no change of filter) warm or cold humdifier for a small bedroom that someone can recommend?

    thanks,

When the kids were little we used one that put a mist into the air. It made less noise and placed near the bed worked well. And another one with heating rods that went into the water, there was a way to put something like Vicks in it and that was picked up and added to the moisture. The rods kept desolving or eaten up by electrolysis.

We had one that had a belt that looped through the water, a motor drove the belt and a fan pushed air through it. It was very noisy and did not work well.

Hope this helps. If you were looking for a brand name, it was too long ago
