Looks like some sort of ship. With all the bolts, I'm thinking it's an ironclad in restoration.

It is a ship. Looks like the joists overhead are new. At least they are a lot newer than the ship.

I guess it was easier than I expected.

The USS Constitution - Old Ironsides is getting a makeover. When I was there a couple a weeks ago, most of the standing rigging was down.

I imagine the origanal builders would have love to have a Dewalt mitre saw.

IF those planks that are down in the background are the new floor then that is some awfully thick flooring.

With all the square openings close to the deck I would bet that that decking had to hold up a bunch of iron cannon.

The ladder well to the left of the saw was a bit of a hint!

Wow, I'm 6'2" and I imagine I'd be whacking my head a lot (low ceilings).

So once they have the boards cut to length they'll remove the old ones and set the new ones it? They aren't raising the floor by the 4 or 6", are there?
