Today is our Thanksgiving weekend. We had the big meal yesterday and today we are off to our traditional hike. So for all those reading this, have a good day whether it's a special day for you or not.

Having grown up in Northern Minnesota with relatives on both sides of the river I got to celebrate Thanksgiving twice each year and have continued the tradition. Roasted the turkey on Sunday and had a nice meal with friends. Turkey sandwiches today, perhaps the best way to eat turkey! By Wednesday night it will be turkey soup for Thursday.
What folk in The States don't realize is that Canadians have six more weeks of prime Christmas shopping.
